And do you see it as a challenge to work in a global function/position in an international environment?
GLOBAL CHEMICAL PROCESS EXPERT - Italy (Mortara - PV)
So let’s come and join us at iGM!
What are you going to do?
- One of your main focuses will be to actively participate in the industrialization of new processes, analyzing industrial needs, collaborating in the definition of supporting laboratory experiments, providing assessments on suitability of existing lines to produce new products or to relocate from/to other sites.
- This will require from you to define stability and calorimetric tests for new processes or new production transfers, providing support and consultancy in process risk assessments, proactively cooperating in the preparation of energy and material balances, including recycling and recovery flows for the industrial line.
- Your skills will be necessary to provide support for the design of process flow diagrams and P&IDs, for the preparation of start-up procedures and tuning and fine-tuning initiatives.
- Regarding existing production lines for products and intermediates (directly managed or from tollers), we expect from you to study, analyze and propose optimization measures for process parameters (yield, energy requirements, batch size, cycle time and capacity, technology & equipment, quality, process and quality consistency and degree of automation) and synthesis routes, providing support, by means of the root cause analyses methodology, to the resolution of process deviations (troubleshooting).
We are always looking for improvement and innovation, which is why we are looking for someone who cares about chemical process optimization and efficiency, provides high level competencies and helps supporting the global/local organization to achieve its operational goals!

- You have knowledge and experience on a wide range of chemical processes: Friedel Crafts, halogenations, diazotation, (trans)esterification, elimination, (catalytic) addition, hydrogenation, condensation, oligomerization, transformations with high thermal risk potential.
- You have knowledge of physical chemistry and of analytical methodologies and tools.
- You enjoy working in a group to achieve common goals, constantly liaising with internal and external stakeholders as well as with colleagues in Italy or in other countries; we expect you can do this fluently both in Italian and English.
